Community Piggy Bank

  • What is it?

    The Community Piggy Bank has been funded through the £1million Big Lottery investment and is being managed by the Ewanrigg Local Trust (ELT). It can be used to create sports, arts, health, welfare, learning, training and employment opportunities for local residents.

  • Who can apply?

    The Community Piggy Bank is available to individuals, groups and organisations wishing to work in the Ewanrigg area. 

  • How can the money be used?

    Opportunities for sports, arts, health, welfare, learning, training or work in Ewanrigg.

    Community-led activities that are self-sustaining.

    Trips to see inspiring activity that could influence future developments in Ewanrigg.

    All proposals should show a direct benefit to people or individuals living in Ewanrigg.

    The boundaries of Ewanrigg (as defined by the Big Local fund) are shown on the application form.

    All proposals should complement the ELT’s vision.

  • How much money can I apply for?

    You can apply for up to £1,500 

  • How do I apply?

    Download the relevant application form from the green box on the right or collect one from the Community Centre.  Applications can be submitted by This email address is being protected from spambots. We ask that all applicants contact the ELT office to discuss your application before you submit it.
